ArrowCat 30 Makes Its Northwest Premier at the 2009 Seattle Boat Show

The ArrowCat 30 is set to make its Northwest premier at the 2009 Seattle Boat Show in the Exhibition Hall, January 23 - February 1.

After the 30-foot power catamaran's successful introduction on the East Coast, in Australia and New Zealand, Northwest boaters will finally get a chance to see why it has earned top reviews as the "family catamaran."

Capitalizing on a revolutionary family friendly layout, the ArrowCat 30's most innovative design feature is its spacious and comfortable interior, which features three separate, private sleeping areas. Also, this agile vessel is powered by 175 HP engines and prowls at speeds up to 45 MPH; it is built to the highest standards and promises a stable, dry ride even in extreme conditions.

"There are enough creature comforts for three or four people to spend a considerable amount of time living on board," reports Peter A. Janssen, editorial director of MotorBoating in an article titled "Cruising Cat" featured in the Nov./Dec. 2008 issue. "I was also impressed with the boat's all-foam construction and hand-laid lamination; this is a sea boat."

There are many reasons the ArrowCat 30 has been showered with praise and will prove perfect for Northwest waters and year round cruising. For starters, world-famous, designer Roger Hill of New Zealand designed the boat. With more than 50 catamaran designs to his credit, Hill notes that the vessel was designed to be flexible, "We designed the boat for maximum spaciousness with a planing hull that performs and handles well, that can carry a wide range of power and that still cruises safely at speeds up to 50 knots."

In addition, internationally known High Modulus (engineer of America's Cup sailboats) engineered the vessel to the highest structural standards. Observes High Modulus CEO Richard Downes-Honey, "One hundred percent hand laid by skilled craftsman and using the best materials available in the global market, the ArrowCat's structural integrity is far greater than if one relied on Western building techniques such as spraying chop and rapid build."

Beyond the ArrowCat's three, private sleeping quarters, large galley and head, Northwest boaters will appreciate the ArrowCat's styling, speed, storage and economy. This smart looking catamaran cruises easily at 20 - 25 knots, offering an amazingly comfortable ride and easy handling "straight as an arrow." The gunkholing crowd will find the cockpit roomy and the storage more than ample for everything from bumpers to lines and crab pots. The ArrowCat 30 is also notoriously tough and economical to run. With speed and a range of over 300 nautical miles; a family weekend, anywhere in the islands, is comfortably within reach!
